Parkside Gables
Parkside Gables, owned and managed by Connecticut Housing Partners, is a family development on West Main Street in Stamford, Connecticut. Opened in 1991, it offers townhouse-style homes for 69 low to moderate-income families, fostering a strong sense of community.
The development has received accolades, including a design award from the American Institute of Architects and a Leadership Award from the Connecticut Housing Coalition, highlighting its impactful outreach and resident empowerment initiatives.
Parkside Gables completed a comprehensive $27 million restoration and energy efficiency renovation in early 2026, marking the community’s first major rehabilitation since it was built in 1991. The extensive, top-to-bottom renovation transformed every apartment home with all-new kitchens and bathrooms, energy-efficient appliances, central air conditioning, new flooring, windows, doors, and updated mechanical systems. Exterior improvements included new roofing, drainage systems, sidewalks, parking areas, and other site enhancements, creating a safer, more attractive, and more sustainable community.
This significant investment ensures that Parkside Gables will continue to provide high-quality, affordable housing for decades to come while offering families modern, comfortable, and energy-efficient homes. The project reflects Connecticut Housing Partners’ ongoing commitment to preserving affordable housing and creating communities where families can live with dignity, stability, and opportunity.
