Merton House provides 22 affordable housing units across two locations in Bridgeport, offering safe, stable homes and supportive services for women and their children, and others, who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. Our goal is to empower families to overcomebarriers, achieve greater stability, and build a foundation for a brighter future.

In addition to affordable housing, Merton House connects residents with a range of supportive services designed to help families thrive. These include counseling, educational programs and tutoring to help children succeed academically, job training, and access to certificate programs and scholarships that help women pursue education, employment, and greater financial stability.

We firmly believe that every woman and child deserves a safe, stable, and affordable home. At Merton House, we work with compassion and care to make that belief a reality—providing not simply a place to live, but the stability, resources, and support families need to move forward.
