Friendship House is a 121-unit high-rise overlooking Long Island Sound and Washington Park in Stamford. Constructed in 1968, Friendship House offers spacious one, two, and three-bedroom units and broad views of the Long Island sound.
In July 2004, Connecticut Housing Partners purchased the property in partnership with New Neighborhoods, Inc. in order to preserve and maintain it as an affordable rental community. Together, we secured low-income housing tax credits and tax-exempt bond financing through the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority to undertake a $10 million renovation of the building. Renovations began in 2009 and were completed in 2011.
